About CalSAVE

Welcome to CalSAVE, a statewide project designed to help California K-12 schools buy technology and instructional resources easily and at low cost.

How CalSAVE works
CalSAVE leverages the collective buying power of these schools, using strength in numbers to secure the lowest possible price. There are more than 8,740 K-12 schools in the state of California. When these schools shop individually, through normal education pricing channels, they don’t have significant buying power. By joining forces through CalSAVE, you and your organization will save time, money, and aggravation.

Your Favorite Brands and Excellent Quality
You’ll find all of your favorite brands, including Gateway, Adobe, FileMaker, and Microsoft. This website links you to a huge selection of classroom hardware, software, instructional materials, professional development resources and more, all available at lower prices through the CalSAVE program. Quality is guaranteed, as every product on this site meets strict content and pricing criteria.

No Participation Fee
There is no participation fee and every California K-12 public school, school district and county office of education is eligible to participate. Private schools can participate and can buy most, but not all, products. Check the individual product information pages for details.

We're Educators, Too
We know what you want. Our staff members have years of experience in teaching, administration, purchasing, and vendor relationships. We’ve done the work…so you don’t have to!

CalSAVE is sponsored by the Monterey County Office of Education. Launched in late November, 1999, as C-SMART, CalSAVE was originally funded by the California Department of Education (CDE) as one of the initiatives under the Department's Statewide Educational Technology Services (SETS) program.
